ES Marine Field Service Project Manager’s at US Ecology are responsible for ensuring all facets of our marine team are running smoothly - from vessels to spill response equipment to our part time and full time crew members. This position is responsible for maintaining existing emergency response contracts and managing our on-call responders.

This position is included in our rotating on-call schedule to manage marine emergency response.

While no two days are the same, you can expect to:

  • Complete project management duties including, but not limited to, contract management, project supervision, accounting, health & safety, and resource management.

  • Create and track purchase orders to help monitor project spending and ensure all project budgets are balanced and achieve profitability.

  • Review project invoices at job completion to be sent to customers. Ensure that invoices are an accurate reflection of time and materials, and that billing reflects the appropriate rate schedule.

  • Coordinate use of US Ecology’s and 3rd party services to provide successful completion of projects.

  • Communicate with existing and potential customers about projects and retainer services

  • Support our retainer clients as the subject matter expert on oil spill response and spill response regulations in Washington State

  • Fill in a variety of Incident Command positions for both clients and our internal spill management team (Operations, Planning, Logistics, Safety, etc.)

  • Be on-call to respond to any and all marine emergency responses.

  • Produce well written and edited response plans, proposals, and customer communications.

  • Utilize excel spreadsheets to gain information about equipment, personnel, and financials, and also to input information about daily work activities.

  • Perform field work including but not limited to, marine emergency response and marine service projects, wearing full face air-purifying respirators, SCBAs, donning and doffing full tyvek PPE, deploying and operating light and heavy equipment relating to marine services all in potentially dirty and harsh environments in varying weather conditions. Responsible for assuring that all company-owned vehicles, vessels, and equipment operate properly and safely and that required periodic maintenance and repairs are accomplished

  • Performs other, related duties as assigned. These duties may not be specifically listed in this description, but are within the general nature typically associated with the employee’s level of work.

Serves as the contact to ensure that contractual requirements are met and work scopes are being met. Validates regulatory compliance. Responsible for health and safety on all aspects of field projects . Develops safety procedures with the scope of work and regulatory standards. Validates all subcontractors have appropriate training and certifications. Is the contact to escalate issues to and reports daily activity to ensure a safe, compliant, profitable project. Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:

$77,420.00 - $121,660.00
