POSITION SUMMARY: The Ops Supervisor Container Rental - RIES is responsible for supervising the commercial and industrial container rental activities in one or more lines of business and/or container delivery and pick up. The Ops Supervisor Container Rental - RIES oversees all rental equipment and rental equipment technicians while working with the Operations Manager and General Manager and other team members to implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement. The Ops Supervisor Container Rental-RIES ensures adherence to all accident prevention programs and leads container rental operations to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics and other standards while supporting a culture of employee engagement.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be knowledgeable of all Company products/lines of business, billing, inventory, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
Checks container inventory on a weekly basis to ensure asset availability is correct.
Ability to communicate effectively with Sales Team, Management, and Customers.
Acts as a liaison between customers and other operations of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met, or exceeded, and to maintain good will for future business.
Addresses container rental related issues to maintain flow of business and fulfill customer orders.
Tracks and manages all outgoing container rental assets to ensure accuracy of returns and charges to customers.
Ensures all damages, repairs, and “make ready” costs are captured and billed following Company processes and procedures.
Responsible for the management of customer rental contracts and delivery tickets.
Responsible for the management of all on/off container rental tracking.
Ensures equipment remains in working order and compliant with safety standards.
Leads rental equipment technicians to exceed productivity goals and customer expectations.
Creates, modifies, and improves routes to maximize density and improve efficiency.
Executes other operational plans to help achieve or exceed the division’s budgeted goals.
Creates a collaborative, communicative team environment that supports engagement.
Builds and develops talent.
Performs other job-related duties as needed or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Preferred)
Preferred 3 years’ experience in related field.
Demonstrated customer service and organizational skills.
Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, State, Federal and local waste rules, requirements, and processes.
Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of State, Federal and/or Landfill special waste rules, requirements, and processes.
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
HS Diploma
Minimum of 1 year of Lead or Supervisory experience.
