POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Logistics Coordinator is to dispatch employees to calls as they are received, using information on and daily factors such as driver loads, locations, and customer needs to balance cost and speed of response.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all required Safety Policies and Procedures, and be familiar with DOT regulations
Must have the ability to solve problems by collecting and processing available information quickly and accurately Essential Responsibilities:
Dispatches employees to calls as they are received, using information on and daily factors such as driver loads, locations, and customer needs to balance cost and speed of response
Preparing daily roster to maximize capacity by ensuring productive use of all assets including assignment of personnel, equipment, and supplies
Ensuring vehicles are retired and dispatched accordingly
Verifies Daily Timecards
Consults with Billing & Invoicing Departments to ensure accuracy
Coordinates schedule for Emergency response (spills)
Ensure Truck Inspections are done daily both pre and post trip
Maintain employee attendance records including call Offs, vacations, and personal days
Report employee performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution
Courteously interact with customers, as required
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have 1-2 years of experience in logistics coordination
Must have experience effectively managing people
Familiar with Bill of Lading’s, T& M’s, and Manifests is helpful
Must know Progressive Discipline Procedures
Must be familiar with fleet assignment
Must possess written and verbal communications skills
Must be attentive to Detail, and possess time management skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook and can learn proprietary software
Pass a Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing
Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
Pass the Company's Auto Insurance Qualifiers
Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training
Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker (TWIC) clearance. This may not be applicable to all divisions. If required, must get within first 45 days of employment
Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and able to follow verbal and written instructions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma or GED
Salary Range:
$58,100.00 - $91,300.00
