POSITION SUMMARY: The Talent Development Specialist is responsible for providing company-wide support for the implementation and execution of training programs as well as the support of strategic cultural initiatives. This individual will have the ability to support multiple ongoing programs and initiatives, and proactively determine solutions to optimize learning environments. This individual will have the ability to build strong and supportive relationships across the enterprise in support of furthering cultural initiatives.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports various training projects, communicating with employees and managers, vendors, consultants and community partners.

  • Negotiates contracts with vendors including hotels, catering, assessments, and learning content.

  • Inputs and maintains employee specific training activity in company Learning Management System, including report generation.

  • Manages departmental budget including tracking of expenses and coordination with accounts payable, finance, and vendor partners. Supports Program Managers with budgets of learning programs. Maintains monthly tracking of expenses to ensure compliance with budget practices. Responsible for partnering with Talent leadership in building annual budgets.

  • Maintains online course catalog and training calendar.

  • Acts as a point of contact for course attendees and manages vendor correspondence.

  • Develops and coordinates training registration process/system; schedules training rooms and manages course participants’ travel logistics including hotel, air reservations, ground transportation, etc.

  • Coordinates set-up and clean-up of audio visual, computer training, conference calls, video conferencing; provides technical/facilitation assistance as needed.

  • Assists in development of training communication materials.

  • Tracks and orders program supplies.

  • Creates and manages departmental websites and online communications, building pages, editing content, and designing layout.

  • Communicates with training participants and facilitators, including coordinating materials, preparation, distribution and tracking of registration confirmation, course evaluations and certificates of completion.

  • Develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities (cost, ROI, participation, etc.) and regularly monitors and reports results to management

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, Education or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources, learning, education, or talent role.

  • Adaptability – utilizes a flexible approach to manage competing priorities and stakeholders, and stays focused and organized in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Time management and prioritization skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient manner.

  • Communication skills (presentation, verbal, written, etc.); is able to effectively communicate to all levels of management, both internally and externally.

  • Ability to analyze data from various reports, draw conclusions and make recommendations concerning the effectiveness of solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a Learning & Development or Human Resources department.

  • Prior involvement in organizing large events and coordinating learning programs.
