The Analyst, Environmental Compliance provides support to the Environmental Compliance department through data management, analysis and reporting activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Responsible for development, generation, analysis and interpretation of Environmental Compliance and other related data to identify performance trends; recommends implementation of training programs and other program development needs to improve compliance in all areas throughout the country.
Reviews enforcement uploads for the internal Compliance Disclosure Database; assigning appropriate fields and ensures adherence to reporting processes.
Administers systems for compliance tracking and permit retention system. Responds to change requests, sets-up new users, reassigns tasks, and reports on overall compliance tracking performance.
Compiles information on reported claims, root cause, and other data to calculate, analyze and report on compliance rates and adherence to compliance standards; collaborates with corporate, division, business unit and Area leaders to understand compliance trends, claim reports and other information to contribute to the achievement of improved compliance performance and adherence in all divisions, business units and areas throughout the Company.
Uses data compiled from various sources to prepare monthly reports on compliance performance, including analysis of trends, recommendations for modifications in programs, etc.
Queries data and reviews for trends and outliers. Prepares monthly/quarterly/rolling 12-month average/adhoc Environmental Enforcement Reports. Assists in the development of metrics and reports in order to identify key compliance issues and trends.
Summarizes periodic communications regarding Notice of Violation (NOV), Areas of Concern (AOC), field inspections data and provides to the compliance leadership for review and record.
Assists leadership with Company operating review presentations, including pulling pertinent data and trends.
Coordinates design and distribution of the Environmental Compliance training and development materials.
Travels up to 25% by air and automobile to support environmental compliance at field operational locations and meetings with associated professional organizations.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum of 3 years of environmental compliance experience.
Experience in waste industry.
Ability to write reports and correspondence with minimal direction.
Self-starter with an appropriate sense of urgency and customer focus.
Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail, while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated Excel experience including proficiency with data entry, data analysis, formulas and ad hoc reporting.
