POSITION SUMMARY: The Compensation Analyst is responsible for timely and accurate execution of compensation processes such as job classification and pay structures, market analysis, job evaluation, survey participation, merit, bonus programs, additional pay programs, audits, governance, etc. The Compensation Analyst will conduct research and analysis related to job requirements, and analyzes HR data, metrics, and statistics to ensure the company’s Compensation and Total Rewards programs are competitive.

Partnering with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders the position will deliver programs and processes across the organization and support the Total Rewards Leadership team with various initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements, communicates, and administers company compensation programs in support of the organization's talent needs. Identifies and makes recommendations to compensation plans/programs that are cost-effective, consistent with compensation trends in the marketplace, and align with company objectives.

  • Conducts competitive benchmarking and market analysis to assist with the evaluation of the Company’s job classification structure, rate ranges, geographic differentials, and short-term/long-term incentive programs, and to establish competitive pay practices which align with our overall pay philosophy.

  • Reviews internal equity and provides feedback to management on new hire compensation and salary adjustments.

  • Leads annual compensation cycles that may include salary budget planning, report development, data management, calculation of merit increases, and incentive payouts while providing consulting on the process.

  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners and business unit management in the development, updating, and modeling of annual incentive compensation plans, including presentation to leadership. Ensures plan designs are properly aligned with the organization's strategic needs.

  • Develops and delivers compensation tools, training and communications for HR Business Partners and Leaders.

  • Leads a variety of compensation related projects and represents the Total Rewards team as a subject matter expert in broader projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience required to possess the necessary knowledge and skills.

  • Mathematical and quantitative analysis aptitude.

  • Proven critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and balance many tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with well-developed written and verbal communication.

  • Demonstrated aptitude and interest in creating and working within large, complex, Excel spreadsheets.

  • Demonstrated project management, leadership, and persuasive skills.

  • A strong pattern of initiative and achievement.

  • Knowledge or ability to quickly learn a variety of computer software applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite with a strong emphasis in Excel).

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully both independently as well as in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.

  • Knowledge of job classification, FLSA, and wage & hour laws is preferred.

  • Experience with HR systems such as Workday and compensation administration systems is preferred.

  • Negotiation and presentation skills is preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
