POSITION SUMMARY: The LFG Manager Engineering - Operations Support supports the Engineering and Environmental Compliance Department leadership with environmental, construction and operational initiatives, as well as technical issues associated with landfill gas management and other environmental projects. The LFG Manager Engineering - Operations Support collaborates with other field-based Division and Area management teams, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assists with training and development of field process flows related to landfill gas projects.

· Monitors LFG project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; and recommending actions. May also present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

· In collaboration with partners, supports implementation of standardized processes, and continually evaluates documented processes to ensure accuracy and clarity.

· Leads the development of tools, analytics, and Key Performance Measures (KPM) to facilitate efficient environmental operations. Monitors performance measures to ensure continuous improvement, adjusting as needed.

· Reviews landfill gas construction plans for compliance and related cost summaries as well as budget models for facility development.

· Reviews landfill gas data to help trouble-shoot and assist local personnel with LFG collection system issues.

· Reviews technical reports and/or solutions related to gas extraction.

· Supports collaborative relationships by developing, maintaining, and strengthening partnerships with others inside or outside the Company who can provide information and assistance to optimize team performance.

· Periodically assesses customer satisfaction surveys of LFG construction contractors.

· Conducts site visits as needed in support of field operations team.

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience with landfill operations including odor and landfill gas management.

· Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.

· An understanding of operational, engineering and/or environmental compliance functions with the ability to identify issues, weigh options and provide effective feedback to support sound business decisions.

· Effective interpersonal communication, both written and verbal, across various levels of the organization, with representatives of government agencies and vendors.

· Strong ethics and the ability to keep information confidential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, Chemistry and/or other relevant Environmental Science degree.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in landfill gas operation and maintenance, landfill gas design, LFG construction or environmental compliance with air regulations.
