Job Description

The Manager, Financial Support (Financial Analysis & Planning) is responsible for providing financial analytics on consolidated results, monthly to senior management and quarterly to the Board of Directors. This position manages the long-term financial model, including setting long-term targets, quarterly and annual cash flow forecasting and measurement of incentive compensation plans. The Manager, Financial Support (Financial Analysis & Planning) plays a critical role in developing assumptions and targets for the annual budget and managing the consolidation process for the annual budget and requires a complex and thorough understanding of financial statements and their relationships.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Completes analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results including consolidated margin analysis and rollforward of variances for different business segments.

  • Provides support to senior management including reports distributed to the Board of Directors.

  • Interacts with the field controllership, regional personnel and corporate departments on a variety of critical tasks, including facilitating the monthly operating review presentations and the annual budgeting process.

  • Participates in the development of annual budget and long-term financial targets for a number of categories; working collaboratively with functional departments.

  • Manages special projects requiring finance knowledge.

  • Supports ongoing initiatives and helps develop metrics and tools to facilitate accountability.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. (Required)

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting (Required)

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or similar professional certification.

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

  • Experience conducting financial projects and statistical studies of a complex nature preferred.

  • Proven knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning and interpretation of financial data.

  • Knowledge of advanced corporate finance concepts.

  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and the relationship between the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.

  • Excellent self-review skills and ability to gather, interpret and present information accurately to Senior Management.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

  • Team player, willing to learn and work with others to get the job done successfully.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Highly proficient Microsoft Excel skills, including development and use of financial models, pivot tables, graphs, macros and complex formulas.

  • Extensive Microsoft Word, Access, Power Point, and Outlook skills.
