POSITION SUMMARY: As a part of the Strategic HR Initiatives team, the Manager, HR Operational Excellence will define, analyze and support the implementation of process improvements in pursuit of operational excellence and the achievement of Republic’s human capital strategy throughout its lifecycle. The Manager, HR Operational Excellence is an out of the box thinker, focused on identifying key challenges impacting strategy success and removing those barriers through thoughtful and sustainable solutions.

The team will look to this role to support the reporting and documentation of key focus areas including risks, resource needs and project performance. The Manager, HR Operational Excellence will play a key role in helping to identify opportunities to gain efficiency and effectiveness while constantly focusing on operational excellence, automation, and providing best-in-class employee experience.

PRINCIP AL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development of a strategic framework and operational routines that enable the prioritization and execution of critical HR initiatives.

  • Help to establish and maintain project governance, metrics, reporting and the HR strategic roadmap.

  • Collaborate with HR leadership to document existing and future state processes, conduct cross-functional root-cause analysis of existing process gaps to identify fact-based resolutions, develop action plans and support the execution to meet strategic objectives.

  • Partner with senior leadership to identify process optimization opportunities and coordinateactivities to achieve efficiency, automation and an improved employee experience.

  • Track and support project execution efforts to ensure delivery of projected outcomes, identify interdependencies and challenges, and ensure change management impacts are identified and solved.

  • Oversee monthly financial reporting for the HR organization to include detailed monthly tracking of budgetary spend, overseeing monthly accruals and forecasting, and providing insights and identifying risks to ensure compliance with budgetary restraints.

  • Support annual business planning activities through business case development, impact assessments, and financial modeling for cost-benefit analysis.

  • Support HR budgeting and project portfolio processes, providing tools and resources to simplify the process, and deliver roll-up reporting to the leadership team.

  • Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations for process improvement, risk mitigation, and efficiency gains.

  • Mentor and assist project managers on project management tasks including risks management, planning and general execution.

  • Act as a business champion, internal consultant, and proactive strategic driver. Guide HR leaders in understanding and usage of quality, continuous improvement, and process excellence methodologies by establishing links between process management initiatives and business strategies and identifying and prioritizing high-impact opportunities.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong operational excellence and continuous improvement mindset.Six sigma certification a plus.

  • Excellent project management skills; proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.

  • Strong relationship building skills at all levels, ability to influence others, and play a key role within a small team.

  • Structured and strategic mindset; ability to break down complex problems and processes and deliver concise insights & recommendations to key stakeholders.

  • High analytical acumen with a track record of leading data-driven approaches to create “best practice” solutions.

  • Track record as an innovative thought partner; providing creative ideas and solutions to a wide range of highly complex problems.

  • Ability to drive change and a bias towards action and results. Comfortable working in fast paced, ambiguous environment with limited direction.Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal); can succinctly communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Advanced business / managerial degreea plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION S:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 5years work experience in relevant industries/roles including finance, management consulting, program management, strategic planning, and/or operational/organizational excellence.
