The Senior Tax Analyst assists with federal compliance of tax related issues by preparing and reviewing income tax returns as well as computing book-tax differences. The Senior Tax Analyst also assists with state and city compliance by preparing and reviewing state and city income/franchise tax returns and responds to federal, state, and city audits and/or notices as well as other tax support projects.

Assist with tax compliance including various federal, state and city income tax returns and franchise tax returns with a medium to hard level of complexity.
Review tax compliance of federal, state and city income tax returns and franchise tax returns with an easy to medium level of complexity.
Review and/or prepare excise tax returns for trucks, fuel and insurance.
Provide support for federal, state, city income/franchise and excise tax audit and appeals.
Provides support for various tax projects including tax research, tax modeling, fixed asset accounting, state apportionment, and other tax related projects.
Participate in mentoring and developing tax analysts
Assist with various tax initiatives on an as needed basis.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required).
Master in Tax, business or other advanced degree.
Minimum 2 years of recent corporate tax or public accounting experience.
Experience with tax software, preferably CorpTax.
Experience with tax research software, preferably BNA, RIA or CCH.
Understanding of accounting concepts and the application of those concepts to tax related issues.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or the ability to sit for the CPA examination.
