POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Paralegal (Corporate Services & Real Estate) provides transactional support for matters related to the Company’s real estate portfolio and Merger and Acquisition (M&A) acquisitions and dispositions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides real estate transactional support and expertise in industrial, commercial and residential purchases, new leases, and sales, from inception to closing.

  • Supports portfolio and leasing transactions such as easements, lease amendments and extensions, SNDAs, and estoppels.

  • Uses strong documentation drafting, trouble-shooting and transaction management skills.

  • Supports requests for real estate valuation and broker engagements.

  • Supports improvements of business processes and strategic real estate initiatives.

  • Manages compliance with transaction approval and reporting obligations.

  • Conducts real estate record research and due diligence.

  • Supports M&A acquisition and disposition closings, including closing notices and coordinating wires with internal and external parties.

  • Supports M&A transaction holdbacks and NDA drafting.

  • Compiles data and prepares regular reports, including Excel spreadsheets

  • Maintains corporate files

  • Oversees outside law firm billing

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Legal Tracker or other similar platforms

  • Associate’s degree or paralegal certification

  • Knowledge of other Microsoft Office suite programs such as Access, PowerPoint or OneNote

  • Exceptional skills in organization and detail-orientation

  • Proven ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to take initiative and work independently with high level of independent motivation

  • Superb written and oral communication skills

  • Strong research skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a paralegal (required)

  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word (required)
