POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President of National Accounts is responsible for the vision and strategy for the national accounts organization to drive profitable revenue growth. This role leads a multi-faceted team to facilitate central oversight and leadership by implementing and executing strategic account plans and overall Company strategies while focusing on customer retention, contract compliance and ensuring continued sales penetration efforts. As customer expectations evolve, the Vice-President of National Accounts will develop marketing and sales strategies, leveraging the marketing strengths of each identified account, identifying issues and roadblocks that impede performance in any way and responsible for driving actions that bring about improvement in overall sales performance. They will also provide analytical insight into actions and programs that drive profitable revenue, productivity, performance, and results.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides strategic leadership to drive the development and directs the execution of the growth plan for the team’s existing National Accounts customer base.

  • Reviews trends in operational metrics, sales results, and cost/efficiency metrics making operational and organizational decisions to meet or exceed business goals and targets.

  • Identifies and implements successful installation and penetration strategies for contract compliance, customer satisfaction and retention of National Accounts’ strategic customer base.

  • Proactively pursues contracting and growth opportunities in the best interest of the Company by facilitating and leading the team to implement overall strategic client plans, which ensure greater business penetration and enhance client relationships.

  • Develops and executes price plans to realize annual price improvement more than annual cost escalation experience.

  • Assists in developing detailed tactical plans to ensure the achievement of realistic goals consistent with established pricing guidelines and profitability objectives.

  • Improves and maintains customer relations with clients’ senior level executives.

  • Maintains and supports strong, open communications among team members and leadership in the customer resource centers, field operations, and sales department to effectively direct and manage the National Account organization.

  • Maintain a Robust Pipeline of new business to create opportunities to achieve budgeted growth.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience managing a sales, operations or business development team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to develop strategic plans for National Accounts and have experience negotiating with high-level decision-makers (i.e CEOs)

  • Fluency in relationship-building, particularly with key decision-makers and influencers. Ability to adapt / modulate style according to different settings and personalities

  • Ability to lead and work on multiple long-term projects, with difficult and long-reaching results-cycles.

  • Ability to lead and organize multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • Understanding of financial policies and budget requirements, including forecasting.

  • Tenacious in follow-up and able to think out of the box for traditional outreach attempts to identify and connect with key decision makers

  • Strong communication and writing skills (presentations and public speaking).
