POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst works independently to provide reporting, analysis, and Accounts Payable system support. The position researches and makes recommendations on process usage and standardization. This role measure, manage and analyze metrics related to the processes and related initiatives, and make recommendations, where appropriate, to improve the efficiency of processes.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generates standard and ad hoc Accounts Payable data analysis and reports.

  • Supports Accounts Payable system, including data management, system configuration and eform development.

  • Contributes to the creation, design and implementation of best practices and associated training materials Accounts Payable processes.

  • Helps develop and supports ongoing initiatives to improve process efficiency, using metrics and system knowledge.

  • Ensures compliance with standard processes using key performance metrics,.

  • Uses data to identify prevalent issues, conducts root cause analysis, and makes recommendation to management for resolution, as appropriate.

  • Regularly interacts with the field, Procurement, 3rd Party Processor and various Corporate accounting departments.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with analyzing data from various source systems.

  • Experience with Lawson, Oracle, and Ariba systems.

  • Intermediate level of knowledge with Excel, including the development and use of macros, graphs, and complex formulas.

  • Ability to effective and coherently financial information

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable or 6 years of relevant accounting process experience.
